| Your new card is a debit MasterCard® tied to an optional free checking account. Please note that your new refund card/ID card is NOT a credit card. This is a debit card which will draw funds held in a standard checking account (the OneAccount). Whenever you make a purchase using your card, the money is drawn from your OneAccount. |

| The OneAccount is your personal FDIC insured checking account and is the fastest choice of the three options you have to receive your refund. The OneAccount is a standard checking account with no minimum balance or monthly fee. You can track your spending using your online OneAccount statement. |

| Simply put, with Higher One you have more choice when it comes to receiving your financial aid or school refunds—including the preferred "Easy Refund" method. With an Easy Refund, your refund money is deposited directly into the OneAccount for you to use as soon as your school releases it. Easy Refund is by far the fastest and easiest way to gain access to your money. |
| How do I choose my refund preference? Top |
| The card, which will be mailed to you, will be your key for entry into the
Higher One system and allows you to choose how you want
your refunds delivered. Information is contained in the system to authenticate you as a user. It's easy to select your refund preference. Upon receiving your card, go to www.higheronecard.com and select your school from the drop down menu. Under "get started," enter your card's 16-digit number to begin the activation process. |

| How will I get my card? Top |
| Your card will arrive in a school-branded envelope that contains the card and instructions on how to activate it online. Each card is mailed to a permanent mailing address that the college/university has on file for each student. This is why it's important to make sure you verify or update your address with your school. Here's an example of what to look for in the mail. |
