I use mint.com to help me manage my money. It’s very useful. It sends an alert via email whenever I go over my budget (in a specific category). I also face the challenge of deciding to make smart purchases of things that will last. I spend most of my money on food, fees, and bills. I like that Marcus carries a small amount of money in his checking account to make sure he doesn’t overspend. I’m going to try that.
The first tip, “not carrying cash” is a great tip and I try to implement/impose this one in my own daily life for the same reason’s as Marcus mentioned in the video above. Not only is it unsafe to carry money around with you but also it helps you avoid those impulse purchases which we regret purchasing in the long run. Thanks for sharing the money management tips, they’re were great help.
I agree with not carrying cash. Unless i am attending an event that uses cash only, I use my debit card. Much easier to track where your spend your money this way.
