Check yourself
While it may seem hard to believe, the end of the semester is right around the corner. But before you get ready for your well deserved break, there are a few things to do in order to make your summer free of worries about school.
Stay current
It’s crucial to stay in the loop, so be sure your contact information is up-to-date with your school and Higher One. To update this information within your Higher One account, log in and then select the “Profile” tab on the menu bar.
Guilty as charged?
Always check for any outstanding charges to your dorm or apartment. Additionally, be sure that your school accounts (Financial Aid, Bursar’s office, library, etc.) are all up-to-date. This is especially important if you’re scheduled to graduate this semester as it could cause delays in receiving that diploma.
Don’t wait to update
If you’re on the lookout for a summer job or internship, be sure to revise your resume with achievements from this school year. It is also important to get contact information for your references to strengthen your resume and help get that foot in the door.
Transcripts
If you’re graduating, be sure to request final transcripts. After all, you want to have something to show for all your hard work. Even if you’re not graduating, you should always have your most current transcript on-hand. After all, you never know where life is going to take you.
