Although the prospect of a bright future and the thirst for knowledge should be enough, when it comes to good grades, it’s nice to be rewarded for a job well done. Besides a fruitful life, hitting the books can also mean great discounts on the essentials needed to survive at school—like video games! Drive away with serious savings Most auto insurance companies such as Allstate offer a “good student discount” of at least 10 to 15 percent on car insurance premiums for simply a GPA of 3.0 or higher. However, keep in mind that one speeding ticket can erase a semester’s worth of hard work, so take it slow! Be a scholar and get some dollars Many colleges and universities offer merit-based scholarships for their students. Ask your housing office or landlord about possible rental rewards for all your scholarly efforts.
