CFCC TO OFFER ONECARD
Higher One’s Refund Management disbursement service will Enable Students to Receive Their Money Faster with More Refund Choices.
(OCALA, Fla.) Oct. 27, 2006 - Central Florida Community College (CFCC) has partnered with Higher One, a provider of customized services for the higher education market, to improve financial aid disbursements to students through the company's OneCard program. "CFCC is one of several community colleges that have elected to participate in this new concept," said Dr. James Harvey, CFCC's vice president for Administration and Finance. "We are confident that it will greatly enhance our services to students." Financial aid and tuition refunds will be disbursed via the CFCC OneCard in a manner that the student selects: electronic transfer, ACH transfer or paper check. The Debit MasterCard® will help CFCC reduce administrative costs, streamline the refund process and increase student choices. "We are very excited to begin working with Central Florida Community College," said Dean Hatton, president and CEO of Higher One. "CFCC has seen the success that other Florida community colleges have had with our services and we look forward to providing them with the same level of results and student satisfaction." CFCC students will be mailed the debit cards at the legal address they have on file at the college. This mailing is tentatively scheduled for the last week in November. CFCC expects the program to be fully implemented by the end of Fall Semester 2006, such that the first refunds for Spring Semester 2007 will be made by Higher One.
