NEW HAVEN, CT, May 25, 2005 - Higher One, a leading provider of customized financial services dedicated exclusively to the higher education market, today announced the formation of the Higher One Users Group and Product Steering Committee. The formation of these groups is designed to enhance communications with and amongst Higher One college and university clients. Higher One has created the Higher One Lists listserv as the primary communication tool for the Users Group. The company also announced the 2005 Product Steering Committee consisting of Higher One senior executives and five representatives of Higher One clients; one each from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Marshall University, Sam Houston State University, Pace University and Portland State University. The Committee holds monthly conference telephone calls for Higher One clients who register in advance.

"Higher One seeks new ways to allow users to make the fullest use of its services for the benefit of all clients, cardholders, accountholders, parents and communities," said Dean Hatton, President and CEO, Higher One. "The Users Group, Higher One Lists discussion group, and Product Steering Committee offer a variety of forums for client users; participating is easy, and we hope that all of our clients will take advantage of these forums to interact with us."

The Higher One Users Group was formed this year to foster and improve client relationships and communication, share ideas, best practices, information about enhancements to and use of Higher One services, and offer participation in meetings with Higher One staff online. The Users Group is available to Higher One client faculty and staff only. All members of the Higher One Users Group volunteer time and services to the group.

Higher One Lists seeks to allow the sharing of ideas and comments between Higher One clients (faculty and staff only). Higher One will be passive in the monitoring and response on the listserv. Archived postings are available online to list members only.

The 2005 Product Steering Committee will receive information and direct feedback from Users Group meetings or communication. It will play an important ongoing role in discussions about Higher One service enhancements and new developments. The Committee includes six members from the 2004 Product Advisory Committee and one new member. From Higher One: Miles Lasater, Chief Operating Officer; and Casey McGuane, VP of University Operations; and from Client Universities: Joseph Krier, Director, Budget and Technical Services, University of Wisconsin-Stout; Dr. Karen Kirtley, AVP of Administration, Marshall University; Dr. Thelma Douglass, VP of Student Services, Sam Houston State University; Mary Lieto, Executive Director and Chief of Staff, Pace University; and Denise Wendler, Director of Business Services, Portland State University.
