CBORD and Higher One announce new partnership to provide a wider range of offerings to higher education institutions.

July 23, 2003 New Haven, CT - The CBORD Group, Inc., a leading provider of campus card systems and Higher One, a leading provider of customized private label and one card banking solutions to higher education institutions have announced a partnership agreement that will make the companies' systems interoperable through CBORD's Campus Elements© Program.

Under the agreement, the two companies are jointly developing an interface which will provide seamless operation between CBORD Odyssey Privilege Control System and Higher One's system to provide joint customers the advantage of targeted banking services along with their campus card privileges. This new solution provides increased benefits to campus cardholders by extending the use of the campus card to off-campus merchant locations worldwide. In addition, this new partnership allows customers the ability to integrate with checking deposit accounts.

"We are excited to bring this interesting new set of banking services and capabilities to our campus card clients", says Bruce Lane, CBORD partner and Vice President. "Our Campus Elements Program has allowed best-of-breed services and systems to be interfaced to our campus card systems, providing our customers with industry-standard solutions. The Higher One solution is a dynamic new addition to the Campus Elements Program and could provide significant benefits to universities and their students alike".

Dean Hatton, Higher One CEO stated, "We are pleased and excited about our new partnership with CBORD. Together, Higher One and CBORD will provide interesting and new value-added services to the higher education market as we develop systems interoperability." Walter Hinckfoot, VP National Sales adds "Through this partnership, colleges and universities can leverage their one-card solutions to provide added value for students and employees, while providing significant cost savings to the institution.
