Edison State College Adds CASHNet® ePayment to Product Offerings for Campus Community

Product offering security and PCI compliance is a draw for administrators and students alike

[New Haven, CT – April 20, 2011] – Edison State College, located in southwest Florida, has extended its Higher One® product offering to add the CASHNet ePayment transaction portal. Through a continued partnership with Higher One, a technology and payment services company focused on higher education, Edison State College will be able to offer enhanced services to its students while, at the same time, saving time and money.

The College has partnered with Higher One to implement a new and improved ePayment transaction system. The transition which is set to commence in mid-April, will improve, simplify, and further secure payment processing; this in turn will benefit both the student population as well as the College staff that serves it.

Students and their family members will benefit from the ability to:

  • Make web-based payments via credit card, debit card and check for charges and fees.
  • Split payments between two or more credit cards, debit cards, check or any combination of those payment types.
  • Set up recurring payments.
  • Make payments on students’ behalf.
  • Allow quicker access to account information.

“PCI compliance was an additional benefit of partnering with Higher One’s CASHNet ePayment transaction portal,” said Guillermo Polanco, Assistant Director of Finance, “We look forward to a more streamlined process that is easier to manage and will promote savings of both time and money.”

Edison State has been a Higher One client since implementing its OneDisburse® Refund Management® funds disbursement service in 2007. Based on the success with this program, administrators anticipate a smooth transition including improvements in reconciliation and batching.
