Student Organizations:
Higher One prides itself on working with students to support a variety of student organizations and events. The Higher One Student Fund was created to raise funds for this very purpose.
Institutions of Higher Education:
In the marketplace today, colleges and universities are under a tremendous amount of pressure to keep tuition affordable while at the same time facing significant reductions to their funding on both the state and federal levels. Higher One’s services were created to help these institutions avoid the substantial costs associated with various processes in the business office. Recently the State University of New York System awarded SUNY Oswego with a Best Practice for implementing Higher One’s Refund Management® service and reporting $45,000 of cost avoidance in the program’s first year.
Higher One’s mission is to help institutions keep tuition costs down for students. For some of our earlier clients, this meant sharing with them a small portion of revenue the campus produced so the institution could help pay for the cost of the service. Today we do this by helping colleges and universities experience cost avoidance to achieve the goal of a cost neutral service for the institution.
